O HOLY NIGHT.
Bài hát Giáng Sinh lừng danh, có lẽ không có ai là không biết.
Xuất phát từ một bài thơ được viết bởi thi sĩ người Pháp Placide Cappeau, và được Adolphe Charles Adam là một nhạc sĩ có tiếng vào lúc đó, phổ nhạc cho bài thánh ca.
Mặc dù là người Do Thái và không tin vào Đức Giê su, nhưng Adolphe Charles Adam đã thổi hồn vào bài thơ một cách xuất sắc.
O HOLY NIGHT được hát lên lần đầu trong thánh lễ Giáng sinh nhỏ bé năm 1847 tại một làng quê nước Pháp.
Từ sau đó thì O HOLY NIGHT đã được hát lên cả triệu lần tại các thánh đường trên khắp thế giới. Và trở thành một trong những thánh ca được thu thanh và được trình diễn nhiều lần nhất trong kỹ nghệ âm nhạc.
Người ta nói rằng cả thi sĩ lẫn nhạc sĩ sáng tác đều qua đời mà không hề biết tác phẩm của mình mang lại tình yêu lớn lao cho mọi người như thế nào.
Nguyên bản bài là tiếng Pháp Cantique de Noël, Mục sư John Sullivan Dwight đã chuyển lời tiếng Anh O Holy Night vào năm 1855 có ý nghĩa gần sát với nội dung trong nguyên tác Cantique de Noël.
Có rất nhiều người và ban nhạc trình bày O HOLY NIGHT. Nhưng mình chỉ thích O HOLY NIGHT trình bày bởi giọng hát thiên thần của Libera. Thích O HOLY NIGHT do Home Town trình bày.

Sau này, khi được giới thiệu Cantique de Noël, Mục sư John Sullivan Dwight nhận thấy cần phải giới thiệu ca khúc giáng sinh tuyệt vời này cho người Mỹ. Ông đã đặt lời tiếng Anh cho bài O Holy Night vào năm 1855 có ý nghĩa gần sát với nội dung trong nguyên tác Cantique de Noël. Nguyên văn lời thánh ca trong Anh ngữ như sau:
O holy night! The stars are brightly shining,
